The CADET team has had so many amazing accomplishments, moments and events in 2015 that could have generated a Top 100 list. However, with our attention span becoming ever so short, we simmered the list down to the Top 10 moments of 2015.
#10 - The inaugural New York Fashion Week - Men's (July 2015)
We partnered with New York Men's Day for our Spring 2016 Presentation sponsored by Cadillac. Our show was the New York Times photo of the day and the cover of TIME (online). We also introduced the concept of a women's line with the gorgeous Camila Gamallo wearing one of our menswear looks in the show. 
#9 - CADET debuts capsule women's collection at the request of Anna Wintour as part of NYFW (Sept 2015)
In the matter of 3 weeks, CADET designed and produced a 14 piece women's collection. Taking queues from the men's line, we translated looks and silhouettes for women playing off our military academy inspiration. The collection was reviewed as "effortlessly cool" by Women's Wear Daily and "crisply edited, uniform style" by the New York Times. 
#8 - The camera crew
For the months of July - November 2015, we had our camera crew in tow as we navigated our way through the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. They production team is responsbile for all of our on camera antics and even making us cry (in a good way) throughout the process. Look for the fruits of their label when the show debuts in Feb on Amazon Prime. 
#7 - Anna and her DNA
She came, she saw, she went - but left her lip imprint on our glass. Yes. She does drink Pellegrino. It is a surreal experience to have Anna Wintour know you by name, visit your studio and feel her support for your brand in numerous ways. 
#6 - The Flight Suit
It as a hot summer day when Sarah Brannon came to help Brent Chua with casting for our Men's show. She put on this jumpsuit and walked our studio. We decided then to put a woman in our men's show. The gorgeous Camila Gamallo was a beautiful companion to Dan O'brien in matching Flight Suits. 
#5 - Selfies. Los Angeles (Oct 2015)
A picture is worth a 1000 words. Reese Witherspoon is our girl crush. Kim Kardashian is super sweet and smart. Kanye West drank Raul's champagne out of Raul's glass. John Legend seems normal, cool and funny.
#4 - Nick Jonas - Studio Visit (Dec 2015)
An early adopter of CADET, we have solidified the CADET is also a big fan of Nick Jonas. He has popped up a lot in 2015 and we expect to see a lot more of him in 2016. 
#3 - The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund (July 2015)
If we only knew then what we know now. CADET was selected among these amazing people and brands to be part of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. The competition airs as a docu-series on Amazon Prime debuting in Feb 2016.
#2 - CADET wins First Prize and 100K as part of the Design Entrepreneur NYC program - (Oct 2015)
From 300 to 25 to 12 to 4 to 1. A 5 month process to build a business plan, cash flow and profit and loss statement that is then presented to industry leaders - TED talk style. The program is billed as a mini-MBA program sponsored by FIT and NYC, but it is way more intense than that. Thank you to the amazing Jeanette Nostra for mentoring us through this program.
#1 - Vogue - The November Issue
Look Ma, we are in Vogue. With Kendall Jenner and Nick Jonas front and center, CADET never looked so good. Styled by Sarah Moonves and shot by Gregory Harris, we could not have been happier with the final product. You can see all of the outtakes on Instagram over the next couple months.
